About the role:
As the Professor of STEM Education, you will be accountable to the National Head of School of Education and work in close collaboration with the Executive Dean and other academic and professional staff across the university. You will be expected to contribute to the school's research, teaching and engagement profiles and will undertake relevant STEM Education leadership and administrative duties to lead the implementation of key strategic initiatives in the STEM Centre. In addition to producing high quality research and providing research leadership, including attracting HDR students and competitive grants, you will play a key role in advancing learning and teaching excellence including continuing to teach as an example of best practice. The role incorporates working with industry, government and other relevant external stakeholders to grow opportunities for partnership work and engagement with external stakeholders on key issues relevant to the discipline. You will work with academic and professional staff to support the design and creation of course material, as well as planning and advising on the future needs for the STEM Centre. Furthermore, the Professor will strategically develop and promote the Faculty of Education and Arts in alignment with the University's Mission and Strategic plans.

- Total remuneration valued to $236,666 - $236,666 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $200,923 - $200,923 (pro rata) pa (Academic Level E Increment 1), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
- 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
- Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
