CQUniversity’s School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences delivers education and research across a range of health and applied science disciplines, with a focus on preparing graduates to meet professional and industry needs.
An opportunity is available for an Associate Professor in Clinical Exercise Physiology to provide academic leadership and contribute to the development of the discipline and the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at CQUniversity. The role will provide leadership across teaching, research and curriculum development, including the delivery and ongoing development of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
You will contribute to course coordination, curriculum development and evaluation, undergraduate and postgraduate supervision, and the delivery of teaching across relevant units. The role will also involve developing and maintaining industry and professional networks, contributing to research and external funding, and providing academic leadership across the School and University.

Selection criteria
Position Requirements
- PhD or equivalent in Exercise Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology or a related discipline, with significant relevant experience.
- Hold, or be eligible for, AEP accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
- Demonstrated record of quality teaching, supervision and curriculum development across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
- Proven research capability, including high-quality publications, external funding and/or research partnerships.
- Demonstrated academic leadership across teaching, research, curriculum development and/or academic governance.
- Strong capacity to engage with industry, professional and community stakeholders and contribute positively to team culture.
- There will be a requirement to travel between campuses for residential school delivery during term.
