- Associate Professor (Level D) Total Remuneration $192,505 to $210,526 pa (including salary of $162,670 to $177,898 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
- Professor (Level E) Total Remuneration $243,572 pa (including salary of $205,822 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

CQUniversity is seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Professor/ Professor of Aviation to lead academic innovation, drive research excellence, and strengthen industry partnerships within our School of Engineering and Technology.
The School of Engineering and Technology: focuses on engaged and innovative education to benefit students, industry, and communities, both regionally and beyond. Our Aviation program, developed with Qantas, Virgin, and Skytrans Airlines, is based at the state-of-the-art Asia Pacific Aviation Education, Research, and Training Hub at Cairns International Airport.
This is your opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and government stakeholders to influence the direction of aviation education, training, and operational practices.

Selection criteria
- Extensive flight instructor experience in flight training institutions; or in the training or management division of an airline company; and preferably hold a current or expired CPL/ATPL license.
- Extensive knowledge of the aviation industry and proven academic experience in the development and delivery of aviation programs at the university level, in accordance with the requirements of the aviation industry and CASA regulations (Part 61).
- Doctoral qualifications (PhD or equivalent) in Aviation, with extensive research publications, competitive grant success, supervision of higher degree students and/ or significant industry experience. Refer to the Position Descriptions below for detailed position requirements.
