The School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences’ College of Psychology promotes an evidence-based focus to the examination, understanding and enhancement of health and wellbeing within individuals, groups, organisations and communities. Our undergraduate and postgraduate course offerings include accredited studies in psychology, professional psychology and clinical psychology, and qualifications across a range of applied disciplines including positive psychology.
About the role
We are currently seeking a passionate Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist Registrar to oversee students enrolled in our Master of Clinical Psychology course, who are completing a placement at CQUniversity’s Psychology Wellness Centre.
Based on our vibrant Rockhampton North Campus, the Psychology Wellness Centre provides a range of psychology services to the children, adolescents and adults in the Central Queensland community. The Centre has been providing low cost, high-quality assessment and therapy services to the general community since 2011 with its aim to develop integrated health services in consultation with other treating health professionals.

Selection criteria
Position Requirements
- A Masters level qualification in Clinical Psychology.
- Registration with AHPRA as a psychologist.
- Appropriate clinical experience as a registered Psychologist.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills.
- You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting / venue / event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
