About the Role

Join the esteemed College of Health Sciences within the School of Health, Medical and Applied Sciences and play a key role in advancing teaching, research, and clinical education in Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy. We are seeking an experienced clinician/academic with specialised expertise in this field to lead and deliver high-quality, profession-specific units, supervise undergraduate students, and coordinate both academic and clinical learning experiences.

In this role, you will also participate in impactful research and collaborate with industry and community partners to enhance our physiotherapy programs and further strengthen our external engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to advance your academic career while shaping the next generation of physiotherapists through teaching excellence and professional engagement.

Selection criteria

Position Requirements

Essential

  • Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia/Ahpra.
  • A research background, or demonstrated interest in research, with the capacity to contribute to the School’s research activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate students and support their educational development through diverse, multi-modal teaching strategies.

Desirable

  • Five years’ clinical experience in a hospital or community health service, preferably with a focus on cardiorespiratory physiotherapy.
  • A teaching qualification, or a willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
