Available Positions

The Bachelor of Paramedic Science, approved by the Paramedicine Board of Australia as a qualification that leads to general registration as a paramedic, is one of CQUniversity’s most popular undergraduate courses. We are currently seeking to fill the following vacancies to ensure our students continue to learn from skilled lecturers and receive the ultimate learning experience.

• Senior Lecturer Paramedic Science – Continuing, Full Time
• Lecturer Paramedic Science – Continuing, Full Time
• Lecturer Paramedic Science – Continuing, Part Time (0.6FTE / 22 hrs per week)
• Lecturer Paramedic Science – Fixed Term (until 01.03.2024), Part Time (0.5FTE / 18 hrs per week)
• Head of Course Undergraduate Paramedic Science – Academic Role Only

As an academic in the Paramedic Science team, you will have access to high-profile resources and networks while playing a key role in teaching, research and scholarship and research. We are also seeking a Head of Course to lead the Paramedic Science team, a geographically dispersed team of dedicated and passionate academics, across CQUniversity’s Rockhampton, Townsville, and Cairns campuses. • Tertiary qualifications in paramedicine. A relevant PhD or working towards a PhD, or equivalent accreditation and standing, is required for a Senior Lecturer appointment.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience within the field.
• Knowledge of the scope of practice of paramedics which contributes to the development of the curriculum, teaching and assessment.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to undertake a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching / Education.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate University paramedic science students and an ability to teach using flexible delivery systems.
• Experience in the development and delivery of low to high-fidelity clinical simulation.
• Demonstrated capacity to engage and network effectively with industry and community partners and stakeholders.
• Ability to engage in research in areas of research strength is required for a Senior Lecturer appointment.
• You will be expected to hold vaccinations in relation to the COVID-19 immunisation should your CQUniversity role require you to attend any setting/venue/event where there is a specific entry requirement for you to hold these vaccinations, as per relevant State Government directives.
