  • CQUniversity Sydney (Relocation support available)
  • Lecturer (Academic B): Total Remuneration $130,270 to $153,255 pa (including salary of $110,080 to $129,503 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Senior Lecturer (Academic C): Total Remuneration $157,855 to $180,372 pa (including salary of $133,390 to $152,417 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Two positions available: Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in Social Work. Please indicate your preferred level in your application.

The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences delivers high-quality education across a range of health disciplines, including nursing and midwifery. We offer vocational certificates, undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, with flexible study options available on-campus, online, or through blended learning. As a key member of our academic team, you will be responsible for teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students, delivering high-impact education and personalised support to a diverse student cohort. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with significant teaching and research experience and expertise in using large corporate systems. You will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) course, ensuring alignment with industry standards, accreditation requirements, and contemporary social work practice.

Selection criteria

Position Requirements - Lecturer

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in Social Work.
  • Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching/Education.
  • Awareness of current professional and educational issues in the field.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students, with experience in multi-modal delivery strategies for student support.
  • Proven research track record through recent published research outputs with the ability to contribute to research in the school.

Position Requirements – additional for Senior Lecturer

  • Possession of a doctoral qualification (PhD) in an area relevant to Social Work.
  • Demonstrated experience in a management level position relating to Social Work.
