- Total Remuneration $60,067 to $66,549 pa (including salary of $50,757 to $56,235 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
- Equivalent Hourly Rate: $53.66 to $59.46 per hour
- Progression beyond Teacher Step 4 will only occur if an approved teaching qualification has been obtained

In this role, you will make a lasting impact by educating future healthcare workers, specifically in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health. You will guide students through the Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice, equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills to deliver culturally responsive and community-centred healthcare.
You will teach a diverse range of subjects, including primary health care practice, health promotion, chronic disease management, and essential clinical skills such as wound care, infection control and first aid. Your expertise will help students develop a deep cultural understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health perspectives, strengthening their ability to engage with communities and deliver holistic, patient-focused care.
This continuing, part-time (0.5 FTE) opportunity offers flexibility while providing career stability. Selection criteria
Position Requirements
- Possession of relevant qualifications in Primary Health (Certificate III or higher).
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122).
- Demonstrated current industry skills directly relevant to the training/assessment being delivered, with demonstrated knowledge of culturally safe and community-centred healthcare practices.
- Ability to create inclusive and engaging learning environments that support diverse learners.
