Your Role

As the Head of School, you will spearhead efforts to enhance learning, teaching, research, and innovation within the domains of Allied Health. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving academic excellence, fostering a culture of innovation and inclusivity, and translating strategic visions into impactful initiatives.

  

As the Head of School, you will:

Champion academic leadership, promoting excellence in all educational and research endeavours.

Foster a collaborative atmosphere within the School, across faculties, and throughout the University, upholding our core values.

Oversee governance and administration, aligning operational plans with the University's strategic objectives.

Cultivate a positive, inclusive culture, managing staffing, performance, and compliance with the utmost integrity.

Drive financial and infrastructural stewardship, ensuring resources are managed prudently and efficiently.

• A doctoral degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mobilise towards a common vision.

• A strategic thinker with a knack for turning goals into actionable plans.

• A strong advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusivity, with a strong commitment to teaching and research in Indigenous health.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effective negotiation and conflict resolution.

• A track record of fostering positive cultures and empowering teams.

• Recognised credibility within academia and industry, and experience of managing course accreditation.

• A commitment to pioneering excellence and innovation in education and research.

• A global perspective with an eye towards enhancing the School's international standing.


Desirable Attributes:

• Holding a current Professorial position.

• Experience in academic unit management within a university context.
