The Lecturer will be responsible to undertake research, teach and publish in the area of Cloud and Enterprise Networks. The role will promote the School and maintain links and partnerships with relevant academic, industry and professional communities. The lecturer will work with and sometimes lead teaching teams to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources (including through unit leadership roles) and will support the integration and development of new technologies for teaching Cloud and Enterprise Networks to support active learning styles. Additionally, the lecturer will supervise students in multi-disciplinary capstone projects teams working on Cloud challenges.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining deep discipline knowledge which is applied to inform unit design in the area of Cloud and Enterprise Networks
- Leading teaching teams to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources (including through unit leadership roles)
- Integrating and developing new technologies for teaching Cloud and Enterprise Networks to support active learning styles
- Adopting new innovation in curriculum design at the unit level
- Leading unit teaching teams and works collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the course
- Contribute to review of units and courses and implements refinements
- Provide academic support to students within units
- Advance knowledge within their specific fields/areas of teaching scholarship and pedagogical research activity
- Contribute to discipline-based educational or pedagogy research projects
- Initiate, designs and conducts and may lead productive, high-quality research, scholarship and creative activities generating high impact outputs in the area of Cloud and Enterprise Networks
- Initiate, design, conduct and may lead innovation and translation into policies, frameworks, strategy, priority setting and other outcomes to create positive impact
- Supporting attraction of external funding for commercialization and translation activities
